Minor - Left Handed
These chords are played near the NUT of the guitar in the 1st position. Chords that use open strings are known as Open Position chords (Am, Cm, Dm, Dbm, Em & Gm). All chords are Root Position chords as the lowest note of each chord is the Root with the exception of Dbm with the b3rd & Cm with the 5th in the bass.

In order to help learn the names of the notes of the Fretboard and for each chord they are written below each diagram. The numbers below the note names indicate suggested fingerings for the Left Hand. Beside each diagram is the Score with the chord symbol and Tablature.

A list of exercises using 3 chords at a time (Dm-Gm-Am, Am-Dm-Em, Gm-Cm-Dm and Cm-Fm-Gm) are at the bottom of this page.
